Acting General Manager; Operations and HSE Director
As the Operations and HSE Director, Gavin has accountability for establishing, maintaining and promoting a “Safety First” culture while also responsible for ensuring best practice operational delivery across the entire organisation. Gavin joined NSM in 2017 after 30 years at Babcock International Group, where he gained extensive experience in ship sustainment and ship building practices through his roles as Ship Manager and Head of Operations based in Rosyth, UK.
Head of Strategy and Business Development
As Head of Strategy and Business Development, Simon is responsible for Business Development, Strategy, Government Relations and Marketing for NSM. With over 20 years of Defence Industry experience from around the globe, principally in the roles of Business & Corporate Development and Strategy, he now works across the NSM business ensuring it is well placed for future growth. Simon is a graduate of the University of Leicester in Business Management, a candidate at Oxford University for Political Science and Philosophy for 2023 and a Board member for the Australian Naval Institute.
Head of People and Performance
As Head of People and Performance, Alicia is responsible for the delivery of operational and strategic human resources support, talent attraction and retention, learning and development, and the execution of the People and Culture strategy. Alicia brings her extensive HR knowledge and experience to NSM having worked in the defence sector for over 20 years, with a maritime focus since 2008.
Head of Corporate Management (Acting)
Joining NSM in 2020, Selena brings over 20 years’ experience across the Defence and Maritime industries. Her role as Head of Corporate Management involves leading a team of qualified, professional managers to deliver best practice financial, legal, commercial, procurement, risk, trade controls and facility/security management across the enterprise, and in support of major programs.
Head of Operational Improvement (Acting)
With oversight of digital, continuous improvement and transformation, Max’ role as Head of Operational Improvement sees him supporting NSM’s employees in being more efficient and effective when safely delivering high-grade outcomes for our clients. Max has been involved in large scale and high complexity systems deliveries for over 25 years and has worked across the globe as a senior leader with major defence industry companies in the maritime, aerospace and cyber industries.
