Naval Ship Management (NSM) has been formally awarded certification of its asset management system for the provision of sustainment services for maritime assets under the global standard ISO 55001:2014.
Certified Asset Management is international best practice for the management of complex physical assets and provides NSM with the strategic platform to continue managing naval asset performance effectively.
NSM’s General Manager, Joe Smith, said the certification to the ISO 55001:2014 standard demonstrates NSM’s proactive and best practice approach.
“The certification supports our long-term sustainment service to the Royal Australian Navy and positions NSM well for future opportunities” he said.
“NSM’s vision is be the leading provider of collaborative asset management solutions to the Australian maritime sector and this certification will add further credence to our future offerings” says Smith.
NSM supports assets across the Royal Australian Navy’s fleet – most notably the Anzac Class Frigates as a member of the Warship Asset Management Agreement (WAMA) and the Canberra Class Landing Helicopter Docks (LHD), LHD Landing Craft (LLC) and associated assets.
